The first two weeks back have been incredible so far. The support we are receiving from local communities is amazing. A big thank you goes out to everyone who has helped us grow our membership since being back in Cedar Falls. None of this works without you guys’ continued support and desire to build something special for our families to be a part of. Again, thank you. It means the world to us.
Competitions
Competition season is approaching very quickly. I have been talking to the group about this at practice and want to reiterate that message here. We do not recommend Super 32 and Preseason Nationals be your first competitions of the season. Our first competition that we will be at as a team is the Fall Brawl Wrestling Tournament in Kansas City on October 1st and 2nd. Early registration for that tournament closes on September 9th. We are working on getting a hotel block set up at the moment. If you plan on attending the tournament, please let me know. We are also looking for a good dual tournament to hit with everyone this fall/ winter. If anyone knows of any we could attend, please send that information my way. We are working to get full competition schedule out shortly and if there are any tournaments you guys have done in the past that you think are worth going to send them our way so we can look into them.
Looking Ahead
Beginners program (k-2nd grade) and Fundations information will all become public this week. We already have double digit pre-registered for those classes. Super excited to see both of those classes continue to fill up. Preseason Nationals hotel information will also be coming out soon. For most of us, Preseason Nationals will be our first real test of the year. We strongly recommend anyone who is training with us this fall attend this tournament if you aren’t doing Super 32. Another reminder quick, parking passes are available for purchase. They are 39 dollars (equal to 2 parking tickets) to UNI.
Practice on Labor Day
We have normal practice schedule this week including practice on Labor Day. Looking forward to a good week of work with everyone.
